A Florida based portrait and wildlife photographer, Jo combines her photographic knowledge and intuition with a sensitive and informal approach that allows the unique essence of each subject to reveal itself.
Jo began her photographic career at the New England School of Photography where she excelled in portraiture and nature photography. After graduation she worked for several years in a portrait studio and eventually joined the photography staff at The University of Connecticut.
Jo’s work has been featured in Connecticut Quarterly magazine and she has won numerous state and local awards.
Since moving to Florida in 2014, Jo has combined her passion for portraiture and wildlife through capturing the beauty and grace of the local birds.
